For many of us throughout the country, we thought spring would never happen!
But finally it did with showing off big time with our favorite sign being these gorgeous antique roses gracing our courtyard.
Most of us love springtime for refreshing our outside spaces like our decks, patios and porches. But where do we start?
Well, I headed off to our recently opened At Home store to do exactly what we are discussing in this post. Giving our outdoor spaces, in this case, our courtyard, its springtime spruce up.
I think most make the mistake of buying lots of little items expecting a big return on their investments or ROI … 🙂 Well, as a designer I’ve learned to start with the larger items and move on down to the smaller ones.
For example, beginning with my antique bench as the anchor, I then added this wonderful white ladder for height and a larger scale items. But truth be known, I just had to have it regardless! See how it adds the perfect solution to display these fun and colorful pots for our must-have plants and special treasures?
After the larger scaled items, I add the smaller accessories with great care evaluating their impact. However, the NUMBER of these smaller items can make or break a space! If you study these items you will realize they all play a role, so be choosy. It’s like putting on jewelry or accessorizing our outfits. Things have to be tried to get that special look. Really though, it is so very easy and anyone can do it!
And “the best of show” is this mini bird bath plus these adorable rooster jars with reusable straws.
Another one of my fast and easy tricks to get that punch or a wow is adding bold color where appropriate. Feast your eyes on these powerful colors in the pillows, bench cushions and small tables, planters and accessories. Even this fabulous tray, acrylic pitcher and goblets I purchased at the At Home store.
I am very excited to share with you all my first post highlighting the giant home décor store, At Home, as a Brand Ambassador because as you can see by these images, now it is so easy to achieve a fun kicky look without breaking the bank!
As you feast on these items from At Home, I think you will agree these certainly are designer looks. And if you knew how reasonably priced these items are, I think you will flip out like I did! So go check it out in an At Home store or the At Home website and see for yourself.
Coming up next month? No hints yet, but betting you are going to love it a lot!
