Break away from bad housing design principles

Think about the house you’re buying, building, remodeling or living in. Does the eating area accommodate the number of people living in the home? Is the kitchen island functional? Is there adequate lighting, functional storage and a mud room for all your “stuff”?

Design should be appropriate and intentional. So why do we keep having the same old issues with our homes today? I blame bad housing design principles. And we don’t have to accept the same old, same old. Life is too short!

In today’s vlog, I discuss the not-so-smart housing design principles that continue to plague our homes and provide good design principles to think about whether you’re considering a new home, a remodeling project or some simple DIY updates.
